1.1 Personal Information: When you register and use the Hopsiko app, we may collect the following personal information:

- Profile Information: Gender, age, interests, travel preferences, and profile pictures.

1.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our service and hold certain information.
1.4 Photos, Identity Verification, and Face-Related Data
Verification selfie: When you choose to verify your profile, Hopsiko may ask you to capture a live selfie using your device camera. During capture, the app may perform limited on-device analysis to help you align your face and complete the verification flow. That temporary camera guidance is used only to assist the capture experience and is not used for advertising, unrelated profiling, or any purpose outside verification.
Images you upload: You may upload profile photos or other content that includes your face if you choose to do so. We process only the images you submit as part of the verification or profile experience.
Server-side face recognition: After you submit a verification selfie or related profile image, Hopsiko transmits that image to Amazon Web Services, including AWS Rekognition, for face recognition and identity verification. We use this service to compare your verification selfie with your profile photos and to help prevent impersonation, fraud, spam, and abuse.
What we do not do: We do not use face-related data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any unrelated commercial purpose. We also do not sell face images or use them for third-party marketing.
How We Use Face-Related Data
We use face-related data only to confirm identity, support account verification, and maintain the integrity and safety of the Hopsiko platform.
If a user uploads a new profile image, Hopsiko may automatically compare that image with the existing verification data to confirm identity and maintain platform safety.
Face-related data is not used for personalization unrelated to verification and is not combined with other data for advertising purposes.
Sharing With Third Parties
We use Amazon Web Services, including AWS Rekognition, as a service provider to perform face recognition and verification processing on our behalf. These providers are contractually bound to process data only for the services we request.
We may also disclose information if required to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Hopsiko, our users, or others.
Storage and Retention
Verification images and related processing results are retained while the account remains active. If a user uploads a new image, Hopsiko may automatically compare it against the existing verification data for identity verification and fraud prevention. We delete this data when the account is deleted or when it is no longer required for verification, account security, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Your Choices
If you do not want to submit a verification selfie, you can choose not to complete profile verification. You can delete your account through Settings -> Account Deletion.
We use the information we collect in the following ways:
- To Provide and Maintain our Service: To create and manage your account, provide customer support, and process transactions.
- To Improve Our Service: To understand and analyze how you use our app and improve the functionality and user experience.
- To Personalize Your Experience: To match you with other travelers with similar interests and preferences.

- With Other Users: When you share information or interact with other users on the app, they can see your profile information.
- Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers to perform services on our behalf.

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information.
You have the following rights regarding your information:
- Access and Update: You can access and update your personal information through your account settings.
- Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information by contacting us.
- Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in those communications.
Our service is not intended for persons under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information.
